About
Dr. Angela Chaney-Grant is a radical pedagogist devoted to shaping the 20th-century future of nursing. She is called to educate and inspire the next generation of nursing professionals through a holistic approach to teaching. Dr. Chaney-Grant creates an environment that integrates theory and real-world experience in her classroom, laying a solid foundation for nursing students to thrive.
With a Doctor of Nursing Practice specializing in Educational Leadership, Dr. Chaney-Grant has been educating nursing students since 2020. Her nursing career spans more than two decades, a journey she describes as "climbing the nursing ladder." Beginning as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse, she became a Registered Professional Nurse in 2009.
Dr. Chaney-Grant’s teaching philosophy emphasizes holistic care and transformative education, ensuring her students are prepared for healthcare's dynamic and evolving challenges. Her motto, "Believe you can and you will!" reflects her unwavering belief in the potential of every student she teaches.
Dr. Angela Chaney-Grant is a full-time faculty member for Թϱ University’s Traditional Nursing Program in Dobbs Ferry, New York. Drawing on her extensive experience in nursing and education, she has transitioned her holistic approach from the patient’s bedside to the classroom, where she is dedicated to preparing the next generation of compassionate, competent nurses.
Dr. Chaney-Grant focuses on teaching the foundations of nursing, fostering a dynamic and holistic learning environment that blends theory with hands-on experience. As the course lead for Fundamentals of Nursing, she incorporates innovative, interactive learning activities to engage students and enhance their understanding. Her commitment to student success extends beyond the classroom; she serves as a co-advisor for the Student Nurses Association and contributes to the development of the program as a member of the Undergraduate Nursing Curriculum Committee.
Dr. Chaney-Grant’s teaching philosophy reflects her belief in holistic education, ensuring students are well-prepared clinically and equipped to provide patient-centered care in diverse and ever-changing healthcare environments.

- Addressing anti-anxiety measures among traditional nursing students.
