Dawn C Cotter-Jenkins
About
Dawn Cotter-Jenkins, (MA CCC-SLP, MS Healthcare Informatics) is the Director of Clinical Education and Services at Թϱ University’s Communication Disorders department. She has taught at many colleges and universities.
Although she has worked across the lifespan from early intervention to adults, her current areas of specialty include telepractice training and development, and adult professional speech and communication. She has expanded her scope of work to utilize her certification (Univ. South FL) in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategies.
Her volunteer work includes being the president-elect of CORSPAN- the Corporate Speech Pathology Network and is a co-chairperson of the Telepractice topic committee for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) 2024 convention. Dawn has been serving as an ASHA mentor for over 10 years. She served on the NY Professional Licensing Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology for 10 years and was on the Media Strategy committee of Council on Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
In her spare time, she has been the speech coach for TEDx Deer Park for 7 years.
Dawn Cotter-Jenkins teaches clinical practicum courses for all levels of the Թϱ University graduate program.
