Susan Lambrecht Smith, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is a developmental psychologist and speech-language pathologist with clinical, teaching and research interests focused on the characteristics and underpinnings of reading and writing disorders from early childhood to adolescence. She has more than 28 years of combined experience as a speech-language pathologist in the schools and as an instructor in higher education. Susan’s current research examines the implementation and effectiveness of structured written language instruction in the schools. She is co-director of the Written Expression Language and Literacy (WELL) Collaborative along with Dr. Charles Haynes from MGH Institute of Health Professions.
